5 Kitchen Organizing Essentials

With so many organizing products out there, how do you know which are worth purchasing? The kitchen is a great place to invest in organizing materials, but they aren’t all created equal. Many organizing products just don’t provide enough function and order. Here are my top five essential items for getting any kitchen organized.

Adjustable Bamboo Silverware Tray

These silverware trays slide to adjust to fit almost any kitchen drawer. This design eliminates gaps and wasted spaces within the drawer.

Plastic utensil trays are often chunky and end up wasting valuable storage space. Bamboo is durable, resistant to bacteria, and often blends right in with the inside of your drawers and cabinets giving your kitchen a high-end custom look.

Bamboo Drawer Dividers

These spring loaded dividers are a versatile storage solution. Simply place as many as needed in each drawer to create a designated space for cooking utensils and small kitchen gadgets.

Utensil holder.jpg

Utensil Crock

How many times has your potato masher or pasta spoon become jammed in a drawer? Get a utensil crock for these large and awkwardly-sized kitchen necessities. A utensil crock not only frees up drawer space, but it keeps frequently used cooking utensils handy. It’s always best to keep countertops as clear and clutter-free as possible, but a utensil crock remains on my must-have list!

Tiered Spice Shelf

If you store spices within a cabinet, a tiered shelf will allow you to easily read the labels and see everything you have on hand. Tiered shelves also make it easier access the spice jars in the back. Opt for a shelf that can adjust to get a perfect fit within your cabinet space.

Turntable

A turntable, or lazy susan, is the perfect solution for oils, vinegars, oversized spice jars, and much more. The products stored within a turntable will take up less cabinet space, and will be easier to find and grab.

Opt for a turntable with enough of a lip to prevent the contents from tipping over, but not so high that it will be difficult to lift items out.

Be sure to measure your drawers and cabinets before shopping for organizing materials to ensure that you’re getting the best products for the job. If you’d like even more tips, check out 7 Steps for Organizing Your Kitchen.
